Emerson

This post is a little late but it will be done none the less,  Emerson turned 4 about a month ago and this is all about her.

She is a middle child and the only girl, the word "Strong-willed" won't even come close to describing her stubbornness, I worry what she will be like as a teenager as she can be over emotional at times, but when she is happy it is extremely infectious just by seeing her eyes sparkle and gorgeous smile.  She is sarcastic and quick witted and not only will she want to dress up and be pretty, once she is dolled up she would go outside and climb a tree or catch a frog or any other things that Tomboys do.

As I was planning her birthday I asked her what she would like for a theme, I was thinking she would tell me a general like Fairies or Princesses but instead she look at me and said "Tangeled".  I knew that there would be no compromise with her.

I purchased a cake so none of the party guests would have to endure my baking but that also meant looking for a store that could make us something.  After 4 or 5 grocery stores one was able to help us out.  Which made it worth the search,  watching Emerson show everyone her cake as soon as they walked in the door.

For the party bags I filled them with candy and these hair ties that I made with felt, elastics and ribbon. The idea was keep it simple!

Below are some of the photos I took of the birthday party:
